How to Mobile Order in Disney World with Food Allergies
Traveling to Disney World with a food allergy can feel overwhelming, but Disney has taken steps to make it easier. One of the most convenient tools available is Mobile Order through the My Disney Experience app. This feature allows you to order food at many quick-service locations without waiting in line. If you have a single food allergy, you can use this system by selecting an allergy-friendly menu option. If you have multiple food allergies or a severe allergy, it's best to speak directly with a Cast Member to ensure your meal is safe, even though the app can help you review and find allergy-friendly options.
1. Open the My Disney Experience App and Select "Order Food"
Ensure you have the My Disney Experience app downloaded and logged in before you arrive at the park. Open the app. Expand the options menu by tapping the + icon at the bottom of the page. Then tap on "Order Food."
2. Choose a Quick-Service Location and Arrival Window
Select the quick-service restaurant where you’d like to eat. You will see the next available arrival window displayed. You can choose that time or select “more times” for additional availability.
3. Browse the Menu
Choose “See All Categories” to see the “Allergy-Friendly” options. Alternatively, you can scroll through the standard menu first and find allergy-friendly options at the bottom of the page.
4. Select the Allergy-Friendly Icon
Disney provides allergy-friendly options for the following allergens:
Gluten/Wheat
Egg
Fish/Shellfish
Milk
Peanut/Tree Nut
Soy
Tap the allergy-friendly menu that matches your allergy to view available meal choices.
5. Build Your Order
Select all the items you wish to order. You can scroll through all available menu options or use the icons at the top of the screen to filter by food category. When you click on an option, a summary will pop up. Tap “Add to Cart” to confirm your selection.
6. Review Your Order Carefully
Before completing your purchase, double-check that you’ve selected the correct allergy-friendly item. Mistakes can happen, so it’s always best to verify before proceeding.
7. Place Your Order
Once satisfied with your choices, confirm your order. Disney will notify you when your food is ready, allowing you to avoid waiting in line.
8. Pick Up Your Food and Confirm with a Cast Member
When you arrive at the restaurant during your selected arrival time, open up the My Disney Experience App and tap “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” on the mobile app. That will send a message to the restaurant to begin preparing your order. The restaurant will “prepare your order” and the app will notify you when your food is ready. When your food is ready, head to the Mobile Order pickup area. Confirm with a Cast Member that your meal has been prepared according to your allergy request.
Important Notes
Single Allergy Only: Mobile Order is safe to use if you have only one food allergy. If you have multiple allergies, you should order directly with a Cast Member to ensure your meal is safe. However, the app can still be useful for reviewing allergy-friendly menus in advance to help you identify potential safe options before ordering.
Severe Allergies: If your allergy is life-threatening, avoid Mobile Order and speak directly with a Cast Member or chef.
Review Menus in Advance: Even if you can’t use Mobile Order due to multiple allergies, you can still review the allergy-friendly menus in the app ahead of time. This will help you decide where to eat and what options might be available to you.
Restaurants May Vary: While most quick-service locations provide allergy-friendly menus through Mobile Order, some locations may not have the option available.
